Safe Storage of Medicines

The practice advises patients to ensure that prescribed medications are always kept in safe place within the home environment. Patients with young children or who care for vulnerable adults are advised to take extra care, ensuring that medicines are preferably kept in a locked cupboard or stored out of reach.

Medicines that are no longer required or have expired should be returned to the local pharmacy and NOT the GP practice. Prescription drugs are very expensive. If you no longer use an item that has been included in your repeat prescription list please check if it should be cancelled.
